 Fergus
is a graduate of the Auction marketing Institute at Indiana
University with the professional certifications of CAI (Certified
Auctioneers Institute) and GPPA (Graduate Personal Property
Appraiser). Both, also require, continuing education and experience.
He participates regularly in seminars and educational courses
related to the auction and appraisal fields through the National
Auctioneers Association.

 Fergus
was born in Polson, Montana and grew up in Clarkston, Washington,
where he graduated from Adams High School in 1964. He was a radioman
in the Navy and attended several institutions of higher education
before entering the radio broadcast business in 1971. Fergus was the
managing partner of KSHA radio in Medford, Oregon, through 1979. He
taught broadcast history at Southern Oregon State College. He
returned to Seattle and entered the Real Estate profession, which in
turn led him to attend Missouri Auction School, from which he
graduated with honors in 1984.

Over the years, he has been active in
church and civic organizations including Rotary, Camp
Fire, and Special Olympics. He has held local and district
offices in Sons of Norway and Sigma Delta Chi.
Fergus
is married to Jane E. M. Prestbye, who is lead Pastor at
Kent Lutheran Church. He has two grown daughters, Dayna and
Amanda, two sons- in- law and two grandsons, Erik and Kyle.
Fergus
enjoys vacationing in Montana at Flathead Lake, traveling
overseas, photography, bluegrass music and time spent with
friends.
